Specifications

The GeekaPC Arctic is a gorgeous white system ideal for 1440p gaming at high settings, housed inside one of our favourite cases, the Phanteks XT View. Gamers have the choice between two graphics cards, either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or the AMD Radeon RX 9070, both colour-matched to fit the frosty white style of this PC.

At the core of this build is the Ryzen 5 9600 CPU. This processor is a firm favourite due to its exceptional versatility and substantial value. The Ryzen 5 9600 has a low power budget, allowing it to maintain its 5.2GHz boost clock speed, making it a solid competitor in games when paired with the right graphics card.

The UpHere Up1TC4 ensures that the Ryzen 5 9600 stays nice and cool. This is a single tower white air cooler with a hefty heatsink and a bright strip of RGB lighting straight down the middle, providing some flair for the build.

The Phanteks XT View in white provides a home for all of the components we've chosen for this build. This is the same case that we use in our Halo PC, and it's one of our favourites due to its dual tempered glass panel design providing an unhindered 'View' of your parts.

For RAM, this build uses a Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RGB kit, rated at 32GB (2 x 16GB). This memory is incredibly reliable and offers a solid speed and latency. The capacity can also be bumped up to 64GB (2 x 32GB) for those looking to need a bit more oomph from their RAM.

In terms of storage, the Crucial P3 Plus 1TB has returned. This Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD is used regularly across many of our mid-range and budget PC builds on the GeekaWhat YouTube channel due to its robust performance and competitive pricing. This build uses 1TB for the base configuration, but there are 2TB and 4TB capacities available for gamers who need more storage space.

Finally, this gaming PC is powered by the Corsair RM750e power supply in white, offering a gorgeous set of white power cables. It provides 750W of power, which is more than ample for the parts we've chosen. This unit is well-built, provides an Gold Cybenetics rating, and uses the ATX 3.1 standard, which offers streamlined cabling for both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards.

CPU (Processor): AMD Ryzen 5 9600
The AMD Ryzen 5 9600 is a fantastic CPU when it comes to gaming at 1080p and 1440p. The reason we did not opt for the newer Ryzen 5 9600X instead is due to the limited performance upside.

CPU Cooler: UpHere up1TC4
This white single air tower cooler provides a beefy heatsink to ensure that the AMD Ryzen 5 9600 stays nice and cool, while offering a customisable RGB strip down the centre of the cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI 7 ICE
When it comes to white themed PC components, we are continually impressed by Gigabyte's ever-growing lineup of great-looking boards and GPUs.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5
Corsair's range of RAM DIMMs provides a great option for builds powered by a TeamRed CPU. They offer better compatibility, reliability, and excellent speeds and latency.

GPU (Option 2): AMD Radeon RX 9070
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is an excellent graphics card offering performance that can outpace the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti. This GPU is a strong competitor at 1440p and has great legs at 4K too, especially when paired with FSR in supported games.s excellent for modern titles.

Case: Phanteks XT View
The Phanteks XT View is a fantastic case. It offers a glass side and front panel, providing a full window into the build. It is highly robust, versatile, and offers modern IO for plugging in peripherals.

PSU: Corsair RM750e
For a build like this, a strong 750W unit is perfect when it comes to power. The RM750e from Corsair is one of the best reviewed around.
