This GeekaPC is aimed at those looking for high-end 1440p gaming, with the ability to game at 4K too via the choice of either an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER graphics card.
The system is built inside of the compact Phanteks XT View, with a trio of RGB fans for good airflow, Cooler Master's latest 212 cooler and the choice of 32GB or 64GB of DDR5 memory.
The remainder of the build is well-balanced, with the choice of a 1TB, 2TB or 4TB NVMe SSD and power provided by Corsair's RM750e power supply.
Like all of the builds on GeekaPC, this system is based directly off a system James recommended on the GeekaWhat YouTube channel, and you can view the full build video below. In the video, James shows how this system is built, the things he likes about the build as well as covering, frankly, the things he doesn't like so much in the build process. We highly recommend watching the video below before buying:
*Note: GPU model shown in the video and attached photos is the Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT. This system will ship with any available black graphics card that matches the model selected from NVIDIA or AMD. GeekaPC reserves the right to use any model of RTX 4070 Super or RX 7900 XT that meets the criteria above, depending on availability.
CPU (Processor): AMD Ryzen 5 7600 If gaming is what you are after, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 is a perfectly adequate CPU that allows us to push more of the budget towards the GPU. 6 cores, 12 threads and solid clock speeds make for a great chip!
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo Black Anyone who has built more than a couple of gaming PCs will have heard of the Cooler Master 212 lineup, and this latest iteration looks superb and provides strong performance.
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi The B650 chipset provides ample CPU and RAM overclocking, with enough expansion slots and IO to keep most gamers happy. This Tomahawk board from MSI does a great job on the B650 chipset.
RAM: Team Group T Force Delta 32GB DDR5 The T-Force Delta is a mainstay within the RAM market, and this latest DDR5 iteration is no exception!
SSD: Team Group MP44L Did someone say great Gen4 NVMe drive? The MP44L from Team Group is a GeekaWhat favourite for it’s awesome value and good performance.
GPU (Option 1): NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super 16GB The NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super is a powerful GPU for 1440p gaming, with great Ray Tracing capability and strong support for DLSS.
GPU (Option 2): AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 16GB The RX 7900 XT is one of AMD's highest-end GPUs for great 1440p and 4K performance.
Case: Phanteks XT View See your build from all angles (except the back!) with the Phanteks XT View, a smart and compact chassis that makes any build look top notch.
PSU: Corsair RM750(e) For a build like this, a strong 750W unit is perfect when it comes to power. The RM750(e) from Corsair is one of the best reviewed around.
