The GeekaPC 'Halo' is aimed at gamers looking for maximum 1080p performance, with legroom to game comfortably at 1440p. With an AMD Radeon RX 9070 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, this build provides excellent performance across a wide range of the latest titles.
Coming well equipped in the CPU department with a six-core, 12-thread AMD Ryzen 5 7600 Processor, the CPU for this build makes a perfect partner for either GPU offering at 1080p or 1440p.
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Pro handles the thermal output of the AMD Ryzen 5 7600. Of course, all of the RGB lighting on this cooler can be synced up to match across this system.
Built inside a Black Montech XR (or similar Phanteks XT View, depending on availability), this build performs great and looks the part, too. Featuring a trio of customisable RGB fans, support for 360mm liquid coolers, and a stylish wood grain IO interface, this modern chassis is a sophisticated showpiece for a solid mid-range build.

For RAM, we've chosen the Kingston Fury Beast Kit. This RAM has a clock speed of 6000MHz and a latency of CL30. While it doesn't necessarily feature RGB, it's been colour-matched to the rest of the components in the build and blends in nicely.

On the storage front, the Lexar NQ790/EQ790 is the drive of choice. This is one of our go-to drive choices due to its reliability and solid speeds. Gamers can choose between 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities for those that need more space.
Lastly, the Corsair RM750e provides all of the power for the Halo GeekaPC. This unit offers 750W of power and has an 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating, ensuring minimal power is lost as additional heat or noise. It's a hardy and reliable power supply, and its wattage is ample for this build.
Like all of the builds on GeekaPC, this system is based directly on a system James recommended on the GeekaWhat YouTube channel. You can view the full build video below. In the video, James shows how this system is built and the things he likes about the build, as well as covering, frankly, the things he doesn't like so much in the build process. We highly recommend watching the video below before buying.
*Note: GPU model shown in the video and attached photos is the PowerColor RX 7700 XT. GeekaPC reserves the right to use any model of RX 9070 or RTX 5070 as selected that meets the colour scheme, depending on realtime availability.
CPU (Processor): AMD Ryzen 5 7600
The Ryzen 5 7600 is our CPU pick for entry-level and mid-range builds due to its 6 cores, 12 threads and strong clock speeds. It runs fairly cool, and has a rated TDP of just 65W - making it an efficient, well-rounded foundation for a capable gaming system.

CPU Cooler: Deepcool AG400 BK Tower Cooler
The advantage of AMD's efficient and cool-running Ryzen 5 7600 is that a simple tower air cooler is perfectly sufficient to keep temperatures under control. The Deepcool AG400 BK handles the 65W TDP with ease, delivering reliable, quiet cooling with a clean all-black aesthetic.
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 Eagle WiFi6E
With strong connectivity, on-board Wi-Fi 6E, and AMD EXPO support, the B850 Eagle WiFi6E remains a firm favourite in our builds. The B850 chipset handles many of AMD's high end chips with ease, and provides everything needed for a capable gaming system without unnecessary cost overhead.
Rear I/O Panel
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RGB 32GB 6000MHz CL36
A popular DDR5 kit that hits the sweet spot for AMD Ryzen builds — 6000 MT/s is widely regarded as the ideal speed for the AM5 platform and the ten-zone RGB lighting looks great through any windowed case.
SSD: Biwin Black Opal NV7400
The Biwin Black Opal NV7400 is an excellent addition to any system. With sequential read speeds up to 7400 MB/s and write speeds up to 6500 MB/s, it's fast, reliable, and resilient for high-framerate gaming.
GPU (Graphics Card): Choose Your Option
The GeekaPC Halo is available with two GPU options to suit your budget and resolution targets. Both of these GPUs are very comfortable playing at 1080p and 1440p without concern.
Case: Phanteks XT View
A clean, modern mid-tower with full tempered glass on both the front and side for an unobstructed view of your components. Three D-RGB fans are included, and it supports back-connect motherboards for a completely cable-free look inside the case.
PSU: MSI MAG A750BN PCIe5
For this build, 750W of power is more than enough for the component selection. The MSI MAG A750BN PCIe5 is an efficient, reliable unit with native PCIe 5.0 cable support, handling this system's power consumption with ease and providing solid headroom for all three GPU options.
Operating System: Windows 11
All of our systems come preinstalled with an activated copy of Windows 11 set to the 'Out of Box Experience'. This allows you to set the PC back up to your liking.
